The PhD part is as a result of my research in neuropharmacology at the University of Virginia.
The Esq. part is a result of my passing the bar exam in Virginia, having completed the Virginia law reader program.
I have taught physiology and/or pharmacology at UVa, Harvard, and the New Zealand National School of Pharmacy. I have been a patent lawyer since 1998.
I run a solo practice in Langley, B.C., about 40 km south of Vancouver.
I have three patents of my own, a fourth is pending.
